Nancy Will Represent You

Nancy decided to run for Nevada Assembly District 12 because she wants to make sure our children have the same opportunities she did — to grow up in a safe neighborhood, to get a good education, and to enjoy economic prosperity where the American Dream is within reach to everyone willing to work for it.

Her #1 priority is to combat our affordability crisis and provide support to the creation and maintenance of vibrant business environments. This means opposing attempts to impose new taxes and finding ways to make it easier for businesses to be created here, move here, and hire employees here.

Nancy will fight for every constituent’s access to quality education, including school choice options and vocational training. She is committed to making our communities safe again, which requires strengthening and enforcement of laws that control the treatment of criminals, as well as prohibiting the possession and use of illegal drugs.

Nancy will apply her business acumen to the state budgeting and appropriations processes, and will support legislation designed to ensure fiscal accountability. She is fiercely committed to bringing common sense decision-making back to Nevada.

Issues

Economy & Affordability

Life is no longer affordable in Nevada. Everything from gas to groceries costs more. As your Assemblywoman for Nevada Assembly District 12, I will focus on lowering taxes, strengthening and diversifying economic development, and cutting the red tape small business owners face. I will work to lower the cost of everyday items like food and gas by repealing the laws passed in recent sessions that made everything so much more expensive. I will support affordable housing initiatives in Clark County and will fight against additional taxes on gas, as well as efforts to impose a state income tax. If we apply common sense practices and financial insight to state law and budgeting decisions, we can avoid becoming California 2.0.

Education

One of the most pressing reasons I am running for Nevada Assembly District 12 is to safeguard future generations. Kids today don’t have the same opportunities I had as a child. I support teachers and kids. I want stronger, better schools, which means we must hold school boards and districts accountable. We need programs like Read by 3 and reinstatement of the Opportunity Scholarships. I support school choice, particularly in underperforming areas, and programs to attract more teachers to our schools. Incentives can be created to bring the very best to the Silver State, while giving more resources to our existing teachers. We can fix the education system in Nevada with common sense policies and oversight to ensure accountability.

Public Safety

If we don’t have safe communities, we don’t have anything. Sadly, our legislature has passed several laws over the years that protect criminals over victims and laws that make crimes easier to commit with little to no penalties. As your Assemblywoman for Nevada Assembly District 12, I intend to repeal pro-criminal policies and will prioritize the rights of victims. I will also work to stop the flow of illegal drugs into Nevada to combat the growing Fentanyl problem. I am clearly different from the career politicians in Carson City who have tried repeatedly to legalize drugs that will place Nevada residents at further risk. I will back our police and first responders and will ensure common sense is applied to any legislation that impacts public safety.

Energy Independence

The rate of growth in Nevada’s population is above the national average. We are also experiencing a data center construction boom to feed AI, with major facilities coming online that will add enormous new demand to our grid. Nevada cannot be dependent on California for its energy supply. Their policies, their pricing decisions, and their grid reliability are not under Nevada control — yet Nevada families and businesses pay the price when those choices fall short. We need energy that Nevada controls — produced here for the people who live here. As your Assemblywoman for Nevada Assembly District 12, I will support an all-of-the-above energy strategy that keeps the lights on, keeps rates affordable, and keeps Nevada’s economy growing.
